Youth 4 Pork


Enter the day of the contest, July 20, in the Animal Science Building on Oklahoma State University's campus. Registration begins at noon.

The Youth For Pork Speech contest is held  each year in conjunction with Oklahoma State University Swine Field Day. Each year 4-H and FFA members have the opportunity to exhibit their speaking abilities while showcasing their passion for the swine industry.

Categories:

Sr. FFA   11th and 12th grades
Sr. 4-H    14 or older as of Jan. 1, 2017
Jr. FFA    8th - 10th grades
Jr. 4-H     Under 14 as of Jan. 1, 2017

*Division winners will give their speech a 2nd time to compete for the overall award

Specifics:

Open to all 4-H and FFA Members  Speeches may be over any pork related topics Please remember that this is a speech contest: No props, handouts, or displays. No copies of the speech are needed. No advance registration needed. Official 4-H or FFA dress is not required

Time ranges:

4-H - 4 to 6 minutes

FFA - 6 to 8 minutes

Awards:

Presentation takes place once all speeches have finished and judges have made their final selections.
