Food Service Grants

High school teachers in Oklahoma may apply to the Oklahoma Pork Council to receive funding for the purchase of pork to be used in culinary, food services and consumer education classes.

  • Grants are only available to Oklahoma high school culinary, food services and consumer education classes for the purpose of educating students about pork production. Pork production refers to the raising of pigs to provide quality pork people can taste and trust. In addition, the pork purchased will be used in a recipe of the teacher’s choice and prepared by students in said cooking class.

  • Grants up to $250.00 must be used ONLY for the purchase of pork.

  • Selected schools will receive a welcome packet with information about pork and recipe ideas.

  • Receipts showing the purchase of pork must be included with the final report to secure reimbursement of funds.

  • Funds are awarded on a reimbursement basis to the school - post cooking class. Activity must be completed within the annual timeframe.
