FREE Feral Hog Management in Spiro and Smithville

Feral Hog Management, Soil Health and USDA Program Updates will be the topics at a FREE workshop and dinner on June 20 in Spiro and Smithville. The event is presented by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and other conservation partners.

Kendall Carpenter, Choctaw Nation, will discuss “How We Developed Feral Hog Management and Control,” and “Techniques to Control Feral Hogs.” Carpenter and Raymond Ludlow, Choctaw Nation, will speak on “Feral Hog Technical Assistance.” Emmlie Bragg, Choctaw Nation, will discuss Soil Health Success.

NRCS partners for the workshop include, the Oklahoma Tribal Conservation Advisory Council (OTCAC), other USDA agencies and conservation groups.

The conservation program discussions will be led by Farm Service Agency, National Agriculture Statistics Service and NRCS.
